Yeah, I got a new job! Finally…

Have been on the look-out for a new job the last half year, but only been active the last month or so.
So a couple of weeks ago i read an advertising for a job in a the mobile community company Zedge which was looking for a few new people in PHP web development and MySQL database management. Stuff that I’ve good knowledge about since I’ve both been studying and working exactly with it the last couple of years.
Intrigued me to work for this company for many reasons; a relatively new company - only 3-4 years old, few people working there so that you feel that what you do doesn’t ‘drown in the crowd’. Although it was recently acquired by IDT Corporation, so now I’m part of a large American company - which can have certain advantages in the future!
Was first of all invited to a preliminary interview with ElanIT which handled the application process - scored really good on a couple of MySQL and PHP test (better than 97% of everybody who had taken the MySQL-test - just to brag :p) and thereafter invited to the second interview with the guys from Zedge.
That interview also went quite good since they called me back last Thursday and offered me the job

Gonna work at my current job at NTNU out January and start up at Zedge one of the few first days in February… looking forward to that!

Was out sightseeing Sydney on Thursday, and came back home to my apartment just to discover that it had been broken into in the middle of the day!
Lost my laptop, digital camera and mp3 player, and my family lost mobile phones, video cameras and digital cameras and other various stuff.
Had the police over the same night, and the “CSI team” yesterday who dusted for prints (didn’t find anything of course like Gil Grissom does!)… fun.

Makes you really pissed off loosing stuff for 8-10,000 dollars :/

Both my 26th birthday and exam on the same day. How happy could I be?! :p

Saw Sin City at the cinema with Linn last night.

Sin City is, as IMDB states it;

“Sin City” is infested with criminals, crooked cops and sexy dames, some searching for vengeance, some for redemption and others, both. The film incorporates storylines from three of Miller’s graphic novels including ‘Sin City,’ which launched the long-running, critically acclaimed series, as well as ‘That Yellow Bastard’ and ‘The Big Fat Kill.’ Where Hartigan, a cop with a bum ticker and a vow to protect stripper Nancy (Jessica Alba).. Mickey Rourke as Marv, the outcast misanthrope on a mission to avenge the death of his one true love, Goldie (Jaime King), and Clive Owen as Dwight, the clandestine love of Shelley (Brittany Murphy), who spends his nights defending Gail (Rosario Dawson) and her Old Towne girls (Devon Aoki and Alexis Bledel) from Jackie Boy (Benicio Del Toro), a dirty cop with a penchant for violence.

The entire movie is black/white, with the occasional coloured red lipsticks, dresses and blood. Because there is lot of blood! Without it’s impressive gallery of movie stars, it could probably be called a splatter movie.
Actors like Jessica Alba, Bruce Willis, Michael Madsen and Mickey Rourke makes the movie enjoyable, fun - and scary to watch.
Recommended for everybody who likes (or doesn’t mind) action, gore, thrillers and a bit nudity (sorry guys, Jessica Alba doesn’t undress).
